The two closest airports are Guanajuato (BJX) + Querétaro Intercontinental (QRO).
Non-stop flights from IAH can be found & are recommended.

San Miguel is a very walkable town so we do not recommend getting a rental car. We do, however, recommend getting private transportation that will take you to and from either airport directly to your villa or hotel in San Miguel. Once in town, taxis are readily available if you prefer not to walk.
Uber (recommended in San Miguel) is also readily available.

There is no hotel block as San Miguel is an old city and the hotels are generally boutique hotels.
We highly suggest you take a look around on your own as there are so many options and you might be surprised how much bang you can get for your buck in San Miguel. The majority of the hotels are within walking distance or a 5-10 minute taxi ride to the Church Ceremony.

Location Tip
The old city center of San Miguel de Allende is a walkable and safe destination, everything is easily accessible on foot. If you look to rent a house or book a hotel not listed above we recommend that it be located in the "Zona Centro" - near the town square or Parque Juarez.

Packing Tips
The most important thing to bring is your passport!
Please make sure it does NOT expire within 6 months of the wedding date.
San Miguel de Allende is in the high desert, which means gorgeous days and cold nights.
In late August, the weather during the day is likely to be in the mid-70s F and mid-50s at night.
Comfortable walking shoes, the streets are almost all cobblestone.
Sweater or jacket for the cool mornings and evenings.
